This article guides users on filtering lead lists in ClubReady and launching SMS campaigns via a one-click button, ensuring compliance with opt-in and opt-out rules. It details preparing filters, sending campaigns through Connect, handling warnings for quiet hours and promo consent, and viewing campaign metrics. Campaigns are limited to 10,000 recipients to optimize deliverability.
This article offers a clear guide on how to filter a specific lead list in ClubReady and use a one-click button to pre-fill and start an SMS campaign for those leads. It allows you to send messages to recipients who have opted in, while respecting opt-out choices, for both promotional and non-promotional messages.
Before You Start
These Resources will help you prepare a successful and compliant text messaging campaign:

- The Dos and Don'ts of Messaging Prospects Over Black Friday
Please Note:
- To prevent users from unintentionally sending campaigns to all prospects/members, which can lead to messaging limits or account restrictions from Twilio, the "Send Campaign" button will remain disabled (greyed out) until a list has been filtered.
- You will not be able to change the location in Connect once the filtered list has been sent from ClubReady.
- Campaigns are limited to a maximum of 10,000 people (although we recommend smaller campaigns for optimal delivery). This limit helps ensure deliverability of campaigns as each carrier set limits on throughput and max messages per day. Messages are still charged fees even if they blocked by the carrier.
How to Send a Filtered Campaign in ClubReady Connect
1. Open Filter Menu: Navigate to Prospects or Members in ClubReady, and click on the filters icon located above the search box. These filters and number of customers (also known as ''Matches'') will be respected in the Connect's Campaign page, with the total number of customers displayed.
For more information on Using the Communication Preference Filters to narrow your list for promotional or non-promotional use, see Using the Communication Preference Filters.
2. Send Campaign: If the "Send Campaign" button is blue, it means it’s ready to be selected. Once you select Send Campaign you will be redirected to your Connect portal.
3. Create Campaign: When you access Connect, you'll find your preset filters applied, along with the total number of customers who meet the criteria. Write your message.
- Below the message box, a separate section will show any warnings related to Quiet Hours confirmation and/or Promo Consent confirmation. All warnings need to be acknowledged to enable sending or scheduling the message.
- If there are no warnings, this section will display two positive messages that the message is ready to send and the SEND button will be enabled.
Warning Messages
- ClubReady always excludes hard opt outs from campaigns. Users that have been opted out- either by keyword such as STOP, or if they are opted out all ALL SMS messaging in Communication Preferences. Even if you have not pre-filtered these clients out of your list. ClubReady will always exclude them before sending.
- Quiet Hours Override: If you are sending a message that is during quiet hours, you must check the box to override quiet hours. This should only be used when you are absolutely sure it is necessary. The override is there to allow for critical customer messages – like weather emergencies. You should never send a routine or promotional message during quiet hours.
-
Promo Opt Out Override: If you have selected a list that contains people who have not explicitly opted into promotional messaging, you will receive a warning. This means that there are people on your list that do not have Promotional Opt-In on file in ClubReady. These people are still opted in to non-promotional messaging (such as reminders and 1:1 communications).
Checking this acknowledgement will allow you to send the campaign to the selected list. By checking this box, you acknowledge that you have appropriate consent to message this list. This is designed to allow more flexibility to send non-promotional messaging to clients and other targeted communications. Use with caution and avoid sending promotional messaging to anyone that you do not have express written consent for promotional messaging.
4. SEND: Once your campaign message is finalized and all required acknowledgements have been approved, you may proceed by selecting the 'Send' option. A confirmation pop up will appear for you to Confirm Campaign Details.
To ensure optimal deliverability – Connect will provide warnings if we detect there is a risk that it may be blocked or have a low deliverability – see Understanding Campaign Warning Messages for common warnings.
5. CAMPAIGN METRICS: Once the campaign has been sent you can revisit and view the metrics on how many of your recipients viewed, responded, or failed to see your message.
Please Note: When a campaign is created directly within Connect without filtering from ClubReady, messages will send only to customers who are promotional opt-ins. If you'd like to target a broader or different audience, we recommend selecting your filters directly from ClubReady before sending the campaign.
Congratulations! You have successfully created a campaign with ClubReady filters applied!
