Before You Begin
- Conversation templates must be created in Connect before they can be used in Work It. Navigate to Connect > Manage Templates to add new templates or edit existing ones.
- How-to: Add or Edit Templates
- If this is your first time accessing Connect from Work It, you will be prompted to log in or create a new ClubReady Connect account.
Send and Schedule Messages Using Templates in Work It
Step 1: Access Work It: Search for and locate your user, then click Work It.
Step 2: Open Connect SMS: Select Send an SMS > Connect SMS. If you have not previously logged in, you will be prompted to enter your credentials or create a new ClubReady Connect account before proceeding.
Step 3: Select a Template: Once logged in, select Respond with Template and choose from your available message templates. Click Select to populate the message.
Step 4: Send or Schedule the Message: Once your message is ready, you have two options:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Send | Click Send to deliver the message immediately. |
| Schedule | Click the clock icon to schedule the message for a later date and time. |
Step 5: Edit a Scheduled Message (if needed) If you need to update a message after it has been scheduled, you can now edit it directly from the conversation thread without deleting and recreating it.
- Locate the scheduled message in the conversation thread and click the pencil icon next to the scheduled timestamp.
- The scheduling modal will open in edit mode, pre-filled with the existing message text and scheduled send time.
- Make your changes and save to update the scheduled message.
Please Note:
- Scheduled messages cannot be edited within the 10-minute lock window before the scheduled send time. If a message is within this window, the edit option will not be available.
- Link shortening behavior applies within the edit scheduled message modal.
- Success and error notifications will appear after edit attempts to confirm whether the update was applied.
- This edit behavior applies to scheduled one-to-one conversation messages only — it does not apply to scheduled campaign messages.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I schedule a message without using a template?
A: The Work It SMS workflow is built around Connect templates, so a template must be selected before a message can be sent or scheduled. If you do not have a suitable template available, navigate to Connect > Manage Templates to create one before returning to Work It. See How-to: Add or Edit Templates for guidance.
Q: I scheduled a message but need to update it — what if the pencil icon isn't appearing?
A: If the pencil icon is not visible next to a scheduled message, the message is likely within the 10-minute lock window before its scheduled send time. Once a message enters this window, it can no longer be edited. If the send time has not yet passed and the icon is still not appearing, try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache and ensure you are using the latest version of Google Chrome.
Q: Can I edit a scheduled campaign message the same way I edit a scheduled conversation message?
A: No. The edit functionality for scheduled messages applies to one-to-one conversation messages only. Scheduled campaign messages are managed separately and cannot be edited using the pencil icon in the conversation thread.
Q: What happens if my edit fails after I try to update a scheduled message?
A: You will see an error notification confirming the update did not go through. If this happens, check your connection, refresh the page, and try again. If the issue persists and the message is not within the lock window, contact support for assistance.
